PROGRAMS
ORGANIZATION

As of October, 2003, our program is an after school extracurricular program limited to 20 students at Thomas Jefferson School in Rochester, NY.  Radio Coaches are volunteer amateur radio operators who operate the program.  School sessions are on Tuesdays for about 90 minutes.  The students build a FM wireless mic and learn to enhance its use.  They also participate in on-the-air contacts with hams and other students around the world using a myriad of radio modes.  The program is 10 sessions long and runs 2 semesters.

A previous program for 6th graders ran for 5 years involving over 180 students covering 9 different classrooms and 2 different schools.
